On February 17th, 2022, HunieDev posted a public Tweet teasing a potential new Hunie project;
- "For thirsty fans, enjoy this little tease, but please understand we're like 0.01% done. We're in the planning stages and as you know, plans can change. We might all be living on Mars by the time we have anything concrete to show off. Thx 🙏".
An image by Ninamo, the CG artist for HuniePop and HuniePop 2: Double Date was posted alongside the Tweet of HuniePop characters, Tiffany, Aiko, and Kyanna. Huniedev also posted an application for artists to apply for a position on the Hunie team, implying that whatever Hunie project is in the works, it will contain new artwork from new artists. HunieDev also insisted that the project is still in the planning stages, and is subject to completely change.
The code name for the project is labeled "HS," possibly meaning "high school."
